Active shared steps are essential for maintaining consistency and efficiency in test case creation. By reusing these steps across multiple test cases, you ensure uniformity and save time.

This streamlined process makes testing more effective and manageable for future projects.

You can efficiently manage your shared test steps with a range of functionalities designed to enhance your workflow. Use the filter and settings options to organize and find steps quickly. You can sort by Name, Number of Steps, and Referenced By.

Clicking on a shared step opens a detailed view with information on each step, including its Description, Expected Result, Creator, Date of Creation, and Usage. You can edit steps as needed, hide them with the cross icon, and easily switch between steps using the back and next arrows.

To view the full information for each sorting option, click on the arrow to open the dropdown menu.

When your Organization does not need a Shared Step anymore, but may require it later, you can Archive the Shared Step. Click "Next" to learn more about Archived Shared Steps.
